Sag is amusing as the vampire... Nick Andrews and Paul Messenger play henchmen Mr Pin and Mr Tulip with hilarious results.... Mr Slant (Pamela Munt), a zombie lawyer, is menacing as the criminal mastermind... Aimee Ford is delightful as anonymous tipster Gaspode..The multi-level set is practical and appealing..Whether or not you are a fan of Pratchett’s work, you will be pleased with the results... an entertaining night at the theatre

The truth, they say, will set you free. In this delightful whimsical evening, it will make you laugh, and also think. The arrival of 'fake news' and challenges to the freedom of the press makes this Pratchett story remarkably pertinent, and incidentally very funny.

“The Truth” is basically a comical look at newspapers and the ethics of journalism (apparently there are some!)... a very funny, fairly fast paced, fun couple of hours of entertainment... Whether you are a Pratchett fan or not, this production is just a great piece of escapist fun done very well by Unseen Theatre – just don’t let it be unseen by you.

Brian Godfrey - Adelaide Theatre Guide - Full review

Unseen Theatre Company just keeps on getting better, with its latest offering, The Truth, being the best yet.  (It) showcased perfectly the talents of the Unseen Theatre actors and stage management. Munt, herself, is perfect as the literally dry as death zombie lawyer, Mr. Slant. From her rolling, dry, crackling voice, to her green skin, she shows the deviousness of the Law, as we all suspect it of actually being. O'Connor's... managed to completely have the audience's sympathy for his character... All of the performances were excellent, but some audience favourites were definitely the frighteningly scary but still loveable bad boys, Nick Andrews and Paul Messenger, playing the hired criminals, Mr. Pin and Mr. Tulip. Tight direction, effective set design, and very good lighting and sound design are all crucial, and when good are largely unnoticed, and these were achieved well, thanks to Pamela Munt, Andrew Zeuner, Stephen Dean and Eleanor Adams.

Christine Pyman - Broadway World - Full review

It was enlightening to finally see Hugh O’Connor’s “real” face, after his many disguises as other characters and creatures in previous Pratchett plays I have seen. His stage presence and depiction of William de Worde, the intrepid journalist, was excellent. Danny Sag also provided lots of laughs with his clever accent as the reformed vampire Otto Chriek. And Pamela Munt’s deep masculine voice and commanding presence was suitably ghoulish as the zombie lawyer Mr Slant! Nick Andrews and Paul Messenger as the nasty Mr Pin and Mr Tulip were excellent evil Blues Brothers-type crooks. The star of the show was definitely Gaspode, the cute little dog, fetchingly played by Aimee Ford. All of the other actors, some of who played multiple characters, were well practiced. The “fight scene” is cleverly executed! The audience laughed all the way through and enjoyed all of Terry Pratchett’s clever speeches, puns and words, and the many sight gags included in this play. Too many to remember – like this one “there will be no more prints (prince) of darkness”!! I highly recommend you go along and see this clever funny adaptation, or “The Truth will make you fret”!!

Unseen Theatre Company presents a fresh take on:-

Sir Terry Pratchett’s

 “THE TRUTH”

Adapted by Stephen Briggs.

Directed by Pamela Munt.

There’s been a murder. Allegedly.  But William de Worde, accidental editor of the Discworld’s first newspaper, has got an inside line on the hot story.  The facts say that Ankh-Morpork’s ruler, Lord Vetinari is guilty. But as Willam soon learns, facts don’t always tell the whole story.  There’s that pesky little thing called The Truth that just keeps trying to get out.

But dark forces high up in Ankh-Morpork’s society are trying to keep The Truth in.  They are plotting to overthrow Lord Vetinari and have employed two Tarantino-esque thugs, Mr. Tulip and Mr. Pin for the purpose.  They mean business.

Luckily William has an informant. He can’t be a talking dog because dogs can’t talk. He’s known only as…Deep Bone.

William just wants to get at THE TRUTH.   Unfortunately, everyone else wants to get at William, and it’s only the third edition…BUT….. “If  it’s published, it’s ink-validated”
